Our CEO, Tim Ash, even drove the heavy machinery to get things started!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – On June 12, Ash Brokerage officially broke ground on its new headquarters, the Ash Skyline Plaza, signaling growth for the company, its partners and the city of Fort Wayne.
The ceremony came after three years of dreaming, designing and planning a new home for the nation’s largest independently owned insurance brokerage firm. Partnerships with city officials and local developer Hanning & Bean have turned the project into a collaboration that will not only change the city skyline but also bring a revitalized spirit to the community.
CEO Tim Ash said he hopes others in Fort Wayne and in the financial services industry will be inspired to invest in their community. “This is about being a part of the community, about giving back to Fort Wayne,” he said at the groundbreaking ceremony, adding he was grateful to see the project coming to life.
Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry commended Ash and all who had been involved in the project. “Today is another beautiful day in Fort Wayne. This project will bring momentum and enthusiasm back to our city.”
The building, which will occupy almost an entire city block, will include several elements:
In addition to Ash Brokerage’s $29 million investment in the project, Hanning & Bean will contribute $30 million for its tower, and the city approved an investment of $39 million for the parking garage, land and demolition of existing buildings.
The company will move its 200 Fort Wayne employees to the new building and plans to add 115 more. Ash Brokerage has other offices and employees located throughout the United States. Construction is projected to be complete in late 2016.
